- This was a big weekend for us! I went back to serving on the worship team at church…with much trepidation. I wasn’t sure how Avery would do or how we would get through the morning when we were both involved in the services. Thanks to lots of help from some FABULOUS people (Val, Chris, Jenilee) we made it through the morning with flying colors. Thanks guys.
- It felt good to be doing something on a Sunday again. It is way better to be a participant than a spectator. If you go to NC (or any church for that matter) and you’re not serving, do it! You will not regret it. It’s the best way to get connected, and, well, Jesus said to.
- I made a joke this week that I thought was hilarious but Brian didn’t agree. You be the judge. We did a super bluesy-jazzy song this weekend that I had to sing. Not really my comfort zone. Brian and I were discussing it, and he was asking if I thought I could pull it off, to which I responded “I think you underestimate me. I’ve got MAD blues…pospartum blues.” hahaha…
- Whatever at least Avery thinks I’m hilarious
- Actually things haven’t been so bad in the postpartum blues dept. I only had one episode and I think it was more about adjusting to being home allllll the time.
- I’m waaaay over that, because I am now dreading going back to work TWO WEEKS from today.
- The grass is always greener on the other side.
- Never did update you all on Avery’s appt. She is healthy and awesome (not that we were surprised about that). On wednesday she weighed 11.4 lbs (90th percentile) and is 24 1/4 inches long (97th percentile). WOW. At least her head is a normal circumference (50th percentile).
- I should get moving. 6 week postpartum appt at 9:45. (Hopefully Avery will sleep through it b/c I’m bringing her.)
- Pretty psyched about this appt. I will hopefully get permission to exercise and do…other things.
- Can’t wait to head to the ‘cuse this week for Thanksgiving. The Massey ladies are cooking Thanksgiving almost all on the day before and doing a massive reheat on turkey day. We’ll let you know how that goes.
- Can’t wait to introduce Avery to my big fat Pakistani family.
- MANY thanks to Brad and Elise for keeping Posh over Thanksgiving! We will miss her but with the little monkey and my two neices and all the festivities it would be alot.

For what it’s worth, your joke made me laugh
Thanks Ambreen. At least I know I can make you and Avery laugh!
