Today, I …

  • …decided to dress nicely since the weather is a little nicer. You know, the wide leg pants with the button down shirt tucked in, so nice because it really makes your waist look small. Very businessy and classy. Except that I found what’s begun hiding under my sweaters in the last couple of weeks. Those pants with the cute little waist? Yeah, the waistband just made a nice indentation between what I now see as my two stomachs. It was not so classy. I kept my coat on all day so I could unbutton the pants. And when I got home, I put the shirt at the back of my closet – I hope to wear it next spring. Anybody who wears an Express XS top is free to have it until then.
  • …had some cramping and called the Dr’s office. Guess what? We had our first ultrasound! I really was over it after hearing the heartbeat and ready to wait a couple months to see Baby Howe. But I’m so glad we got one! It was the coolest thing ever. The baby was moving all around, I swear SHE was waving at us (no, we couldn’t tell the sex, I’m just guessing). She has two arms, two legs, two eyes, a nose and a mouth and a brain! She is perfect and she is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Also, the second most beautiful thing I have ever seen is her daddy beaming while watching the screen and asking the tech about 1,000 questions. It was a lovely afternoon with my family.

So excited for you, Libby! No worries on the XS shirt…just remember, the majority of the populous doesn’t wear an XS anyway. You’re ahead of the curve! :-) Also, if you are having a girl, I found the cutest onesie that I’m going to send you. It’s SO you and Brian!

Heather – Yay! I have been refraining from buying clothes, even though it’s SO hard. I’m glad someone else is not refraining for me!

  3. Don’t worry about clothes for the little one. You will probably get about 80 outfits at your baby showers! SHE will be the best dressed one in your house. :-)

  4. Pam I appreciate your enthusiasm but I will retain the title of best dressed in our home…haha!

Hey! I take offense to that! Pam – I think you’re right – she will certainly be the best dressed!

  6. I highly suggest the Bella Band http://www.ingridandisabel.com/
You can get it at Bella Maternity in Clifton Park.

Heather – I have actually gotten lots of great feedback on the Bella Band and I’ll be purchasing one ASAP! Thanks!

  8. I have 2 Bella Bands…if you want to save the money ($20-$30, I believe) and borrow them let me know. That is if I ever see you!

Kristy, You rock! I looked them up online and totally didn’t want to pay for them! I will definitely take you up on that. If you come to Fri or Sat night services, I’ll get it then (@ Malta). I may put it right on…I wore my pants unbuttoned all day today – a bella band would have come in handy!
